Become Comfortable with Discomfort.

In the first week of your Chroma Course, you’ll learn how to take what you know about watercolor painting and apply it to beginning a daily sketchbook practice. With daily painting prompts, curated watercolor classes, and live sessions where you’ll get the chance to work alongside Ohn Mar, you’ll be building the foundations you need to build a practice that lasts. Challenge Yourself.

 
This week, you’ll challenge yourself to simplify objects to their basic forms. This will help you learn how to convey the essence of subjects without relying on details. You’ll also learn to approach your work from a place of fearlessness, curiosity, and openness to new ideas, allowing you to surrender the need for results.

Reframe Mistakes.

As you cross the halfway point of your Chroma Course, you’ll be working with dip pens and ink, enhancing your knowledge of conveying contrast to give your sketches dimension and form. You’ll also be discussing a new way to think of mistakes: as an essential part of artistic growth.

Learn to Trust Your Intuition.

In the final week of your Chroma Course, you’ll focus on sketchbook layout considerations. To make sure you’re prepared to take your daily practice with you at the end of the week, you’ll also work on being present, listening to your intuition while painting, and setting intentions for maintaining your practice for the future.
